Day 304 - Project 366

Here's the thing.....God knows and loves us each so intimately, even Birthday Queens:-)  So He lines things up just so to tickle our hearts. And I imagine His delight at my delight of being serenaded by my Young Life friends as D.A. and I crossed the bridge on our nightly walk.

The whole day was filled with sweet surprises - start to finish!  Isn't it a wonder to be here on this Earth, alive, loving, being loved?  Each breath....each breath.....gift. My heart is full and overflowing tonight and I am ready to step into this new year of life bouyed by the reality of my Creator's love revealed!

Day 303 - Project 366

I say that life is a story or a puzzle or a dot to dot and in all of that I say I live with a deepening trust in the Author who fits the pieces of my tale together to make the perfect, unique picture He has planned since the beginning of time. And I believe that He loves me on the days I don't understand the twists, or a piece gets lost under the couch, or the pattern seems to make little sense.

Day 301 - Project 366

The happiest place on earth for D.A.:-)  Fun day away together! Unfortunately, the weather was gray and drizzly so we couldn't enjoy the colors of the Smokies but still a great date!

 Started the day at the Applewood Restaurant in Pigeon Forge with a yum breakfast!

Day 300 - Project 366

I got an early start this morning with one of my last Friday morning donut deliveries to my wonderful Joe.  As I was driving down MLK towards the post office I caught a glimpse of the sunrise.  I flew in and out of the post office and drove up to Bluff View in time to catch this most amazing sight.  The Creator's presence was tangible. He grinned and whispered in my ear, "Do you like it? I made it just for you!" 

Day 299 - Project 366

Savoring these summer like days!!  Beautiful walk on the Walnut Street Bridge with the one I love!  Sometime this is what I'd like to do on that bridge......sit on a bench with a pad of paper and pen and write down the snatches of conversation you hear as people walk by.  At the end of the time put all those sentences together to make a story.  Just can't get that idea out of my head:-)

Day 298 - Project 366

Third day in a row of my noon walk over the river and I love it!  So good to clear my head and move my body after sitting all morning!  Many sights to be seen along the way, including the traffic jam by the Krystals which were only 25 cents today:-)  Ahhhh......the South!

We walked along the Riverwalk tonight. There's a section that is full of this bamboo and I've always wondered why they planted it there.  A little piece of the jungle alongside the TN River.  Mysterious. I think I see the orange eye of a wild animal peering back at the camera lens.

Glad to spend a little time here - one of my favorite spots in Chatt - to process the weekend and prepare for 2 weeks of craziness as the banquet draws nearer!

I felt pretty punky on this day of my MI visit after a Stomach Bug arrived during the night.  By the afternoon I felt good enough to go for a little ride with Renee to a local farm that was having a barrel racing competition to race money for a friend of theirs who has cancer.  This little calf with a serious underbite was toooo cute!

Crew and I are both going through withdrawal:-(  Missing his and Sohee's hugs, craziness, cuddles, giggles, snuggles, and conversation.  What a gift they are to my heart!

Had to smile this morning when the little guy who hates having his picture made insisted that I take one of him and his sister under the Family sign since it's tradition:-)  Sleepover #1 at Grandpa and Grandma's is in the books and it was a Success for all involved - can't wait to do it again!

Pretty doggone hard to choose a picture of the day when the adorables are here!  But I really love this close up of Crew looking at the butterfly that landed on my hand at the Aquarium today!  His sweet little face - oh, my goodness!

One of the grand's traditions is to pick flowers at my house - Sohee found this one to give to her mom when she returns from ATL:-)

Day 286 - Project 366

Since Crew jumped out of the Mazda 5 last night he's been talking about riding his bike across the bridge to Sweet CeCe's:-)  The weather wasn't ideal tonight but we made his wish come true. The advantage of yucky weather was fewer people to run into by our little biker and scooterer.  Such good times today and starting tomorrow we're going solo for a few days with the grands!

Day 285 - Project 366

Ms. JoAnn's amazing pound cake beat out the Dewdler for POD today!  Years ago before we moved to Chatt she would occasionally mail one up to us in MI:-)  This one is delicious and we shared it with Mark and Tara tonight as they arrived for a long weekend!!

Caught the Dewdler in action this morning! And she did 2 this morning on either side of the bridge.

Kind of hard to see with the shadows but it's a man in a canoe.

Day 284 - Project 366

I stopped at Linda's on the way to work this morning to purchase apples for the office - the leaders LOVE having a basket of crunchy apples on the table in the entryway! I put them in Grandma W.'s wicker basket which makes it extra special!  I lit a yum smelling cinnamonny candle and put it next to the apples - a couple of leaders Instragrammed it:-)  After purchasing my Wine Saps I did a photo shoot of their other products!  I love Fall!!

I went for a short walk around the Court and found so many pieces of beauty!
