Day 59

Beautiful morning to do yard work!  Sunny and no wind and in the 40's!  We got so much done and the yard looks great!  Then we went to the final Mocs ladies game which they won handily.  Then we parked by Remebrandts and walked to the North Shore for dinner at Food Works.  Very wonderful day with my wonderful man!

Day 58

Saw this on the big Magnolia tree in Miller Park the morning after the Big Snow....love.   Great letter to receive in the mail even though Dr. Smith's office had already let me know everything was fine!  And I had a surprise visitor waiting for me when I got home from a coffee date!!!

Day 57

Best Snow Day Ever!  We had so much fun!  Sleeping in, sipping coffee, walking to the cemetery, making a snowman, going downtown for more steps and taking in the snowy sights before having dinner at Mellow Mushroom.....then home for screen time and Guy & Lady Vols basketball games on TV!  No one in the world I'd rather do life with than this handsome, bearded man!

Day 56

SNOW!!! It was predicted to start 4 pm and it started right on schedule!  We were both home from work when it started to come down and hunkered down, opening the door every once in a while to see if it was still coming down and it was until about midnight!  On the news it said our area would get 3-5 inches but we wound up with 9 inches!!  I ventured outside right before dark and took a few pics of this rare, beautiful sight!  Northerners think Southerners go a little overboard in their excitement about seeing the white stuff but it's just so pretty when you hardly ever see it!

Day 55

A dusting of snow....enough to have all of the local schools called off again!  Staff meeting was delayed by a half hour - everyone made it in to the office eventually!  It was a really fun day at work with tons of leaders in and out all day long.  I love those leaders so dang much!  The office is filled with pink flamingos as we attempt a campership fundraiser, putting them in people's yards and asking them to pay for their removal :-)  I have a feeling I'm going to be cohabiting for a very long time with about 400 flamingos :-)

Day 54

The Hulsts are frequent flyers at the Court - Chattanooga is a great stop for snowbirds!

Day 53

Fun weekend with the Hulsts!  Sticky Fingers, Church, McKays and a rousing game of Mexican Train Dominoes!  Nothing like a dark winter night for games with good friends!

Day 52

We really love getting the house ready for guests!  I found this little picture frame on my last IKEA visit and I put our current guest's picture in it before they come :-)  Thankful for the cozy Court!

Day 51

It's snowing again tonight!  We are hunkered down but while it was still light out I did a walkabout in the yard - these two are smooching in the snow :-)

Day 50

If I'm vewy vewy quiet and vewy vewy patient I can capture an image of the birds outside my kitchen window!

Day 49

Such a rare sight this SNOW!  I took my time getting to the office and went and visited a few of my favorite places to see what they looked like with the white stuff on them!

Day 48

The Bridge had a pretty light crowd tonight since it was CHILLY out!  But we are on a ROLL with walking and bundled up!  Glad we went since a bonus of the night was this beautiful sunset!

Day 47

Everyone got up to party with Papa before he went to work Monday morning :-)

Day 46

Fun pic of the fam in Joe's favorite teamwear!

Day 45

Such a fun party for Bo!  Lots of folks came by to say hello! Great times! After everyone left we walked the Bridge, went to Clumpies and rode the carousel!

Day 44

My fellow Low Carb dieter, Melissa, introduced me to these mini peppers - we cut them in half, de-seed them and fill them with cream cheese......so good!  Making these for Bo's party tomorrow!  And in other news the sweet YL College team gave me this beautiful bouquet of flowers for helping them get ready for their camp trip this weekend - what a wonderful surprise!

Day 43

The world is full of wonders.....big and small.....one just has to live with their eyes, ears, and heart, wide open!

Day 42

A couple of times a year I am drawn to the old Catholic cemetery near our house ~ usually on a day the sky is a deep blue and I need some solitude....love these images from my time there.......

Day 41

D.A. came home a little early and we were able to go for a long Riverwalk!  Just love this metal statue at the beginning of the trail! Briskly cold but a great walk before Book Club!

We've been seeing the ads for these on T.V. and today I picked some fresh ones up for staff meeting - I resisted trying one but others said they were yummy!  Perfect timing for these as Bo's little party on Saturday approaches - these will be part of the brunch menu for sure!
