Sometimes I get so caught up in daily life my eyes are closed to the beauty just a short drive away!  I am so thankful that my friend Claire likes to hike as much as I do and is always up for an adventure!  A bonus to hiking Lula Lake today was meeting Anne with an E there and two of her friends!  The waterfall was really rushing today! After playing there we hiked up to the bluff - I love it up there too - the view of the valley and the wildflowers and dogwoods were so awesome!

Day 115

I had the fun fun honor of taking pictures of Olivia and her friend before they went to the Homeschool Prom last night! I met Livy and her entourage at the Hunter - such a perfect spot to take pictures of a special event!  Charles was there along with Meemaw - fun times!

So much beauty in my little yard:-) The backdrop of the Columbines is so pretty with the white Iris!  Dale's cousin's wife is a painter and she wants me to email her this pic so she can paint it:-) That's cool!

Such a clear beautiful day today! Have I ever mentioned how much I love Spring?! Oh, yeah, like every single day!!!  Fun day as Ingrid & Joe went FB official with the news of the baby!!

A few raindrops on the pink geranium we planted Saturday - we could use lots more drops!  And a new bird with an extremely long beak on the feeder this afternoon!  Tired tonight after feeding the YL leaders breakfast and dinner for Camp Blitz day :-)  Love them!

All day long I had this sense of anticipation because I knew I had time to go to Forest Hill after work for a long while! I always love my time there and I am so thankful that my Shirley friend gave me the heads up on this beautiful place several years ago! I just love it!

Our wonderful Easter Day ended with a fun, delicious dinner with our dear friends, the Terpstras!

Day 109

We had a wonderful day together - just the two of us! Went to Cracker Barrel for a yum breakfast and then to Cloudland for a Wildflower Hike and hang out time at the park!  What amazed me the most is the fact that I look across the carpet of forest and just see a mass of green but our very educated guide looks at it and sees specific plants and he can not only name each one but give us some facts about it!  It felt soooo good to just be out in nature far from the details of daily life and to share it with my best guy friend made it even more special! Thank you, Lord, for every minute of today!  After we got home we did yard work together and grilled burgers for dinner - perfect day!  

Day 108

At first I thought someone had spit out some blue bubblegum on one of the hostas under the pear tree but upon closer inspection I realized it was a broken Robin's egg!  The hostas are soooo beautiful right now - they love this cool Spring weather before they wither a bit under the hot Southern Summer sun!

Day 107

We had a fun little surprise farewell party for Babs on Thursday night - she thought we were going to have a staff planning overnight :-)  Lots of leaders, committee folks and high school kids came and it was a sweet night.  We ended it with worship and prayer in the "Secret Garden" of our gracious hosts. Trusting God for the next girl I share an office with at 516!
