Great flight from Chatt to ATL to GR! Renee picked us up from the airport and back to their house for a yum lunch. We're using this truck this weekend and drove out to the folks house. We did a little thrifting and then went to Doug & Amy's for a great cookout with most of the V.W.  clan.

Look who walked in my office door today and totally surprised me!  They are on their way to surprise Brooks & Abbey in ATL and stopped in Chatt - very fun!

Spent a little while at staff retreat at a beautiful Riverhouse owned by a committee member ~ at lunch break I took a walk around their beautiful gardens!

My sweet D.A. in front of the big bridge across the Mississippi River - on our drive home after some much needed time with Dan and Brea. Really enjoyed the morning worship service at their church and delicious lunch at Newk's before hitting the road. So thankful for another safe drive over many miles!

Dan smoked a Boston Butt roast and it was delicious!  We had this for dinner after the guys worked hard all day laying laminated wood flooring in D & B's spare bedroom and us girls cheered them on and went for pedis and coffee.....we definitely had the better deal but the floor turned out great and the guys had a good time working on it together!  After dinner we went to Orange Leaf for yum frozen yogurt!

We left Chatt around 3:30 pm and headed to Louisiana - late night stop at the border before we spend a weekend with Dan & Brea!

So thankful for lots of great help at the Clay Shoot - and so thankful it's in the books - well, almost!  Some paperwork to finish up and then we're on to the Banquet - gracious, what a Fall it's going to be!

So glad Mike & Libby were at New City this morning and saved us seats! We were running just a tad bit late after a long relaxing morning on the deck with coffee and the paper!  We've missed Libby while she's been away helping at YoungLives camp and spending time with her family at the beach! Looking forward to getting to know Mike better!

Such a fun day at Habitat's Mud Run Fundraiser! Sherri had 9 of us there to help her get some of her volunteer hours in! And we had so much fun!! This is Sherri and her friend Belinda at the Mud Pit cheering folks on!

A much deserved dinner date with my best guy friend after a long, busy week! They have hummingbird feeders right outside the windows of the restaurant - fun but hard to catch a great pic!

Great coffee time at Rembrandts with a dear old friend (a dear old Chattanooga friend...I've lived here long enough to have old friends :-)  And then a quick walk around because you just never know what beauty might be waiting to be beheld!

There's been a front hanging over Chatt the past several days and today it lifted! Low humidity and heat - clear, beautiful skies!  After work I did a walkabout at Coolidge Park - lovely!

Yet another McKays treasure....my heart is drawn toward books like this and I am loving it!  Underlining every other paragraph and copying quotes in various journals! Just perfect! And so helpful in reminding me to really see and really hear!

I went into work on Monday a little frayed around the edges after a people populated weekend! The busyness of fall semester YL is here like a train bearing down! And the Lord knew that. He sent me angels in the form of Kelley, Dalee, and Tabitha.....they blessed my day in unique ways making me feel loved and appreciated.....prayer, cheerful help, a surprise on our doorstep....

The dining room table was pulled out and filled up with sweet friends and laughter and conversation bounced off the walls! We laughed till we cried and then segued into the living room where we prayed and read Scripture and loved on our brand new teenager! Love.This.Family.

Day 221

The traditional Family pic before the Lookabills hit the road for the rest of their vacation! Weeded the driveway garden for awhile and then cleaned up for afternoon tea at the English Rose for Wanda's birthday - very fun time with some neat ladies! I love that tea room!

I definitely shared some Kleenex with this girl in the GTCA as she shared the desire of her heart to be a wife and a mama many years ago.....so fun to have her and the answers to those prayers in the house this weekend!

Our dear friend Tabitha and her sweet little family are here for a couple of days on their way to Gatlinburg!  So fun to get to know her kiddos!
