Day 211 - Project 365/2013
Another fun day of making memories in Chattanooga with the adorables! They love McKay's almost as much as I do and we spent a long time there this morning picking out tons of books! Stopped by Costco for a cheap, yum lunch, went home and took naps, hung out till Grandpa got home to grill burgers for us, and then a walk across the Bridge to see our Libby friend at Gigi's for yogurt and mini cupcakes for Michigan Bear and Sarah Bear:-) So blessed!

So so fun that Crew, Sohee, and Tara are here for a few days! We've started a list of what we want to do while they're here and it's a great one!

Day 208 - Project 365/2013
If something sounds too good to be true .........Eddie and Dale had heard about some waterfront property for sale up by Dandridge, TN that was listed for a really good price and we two couples went up there today only to find that the few lots at that particular price were not great at all and that most of the lots were way more expensive! So besides being with some really great friends the best part of the day was discovering this cafe just outside of town! Who knew?! We want to go back when we have more time - great restaurant with fun store and museum all about beans!
Day 207 - Project 365/2013
Fun fun night at the Lookouts with Corey and Correll and assorted loved ones including this turkey leg lovin' girl:-) Perfect night for a ballgame and it was a W!! Fireworks afterwards and the boys spent the night! Loving this summer so much!
Day 206 - Project 365/2013
Such a fun date with this handsome guy! We left Chatt mid afternoon and drove up to Nashville to have dinner at the Opryland Hotel and go to Rhapsody in Bluegrass at the Grand Ole Opry! We've always wanted to see the Annie Moses Band in person and this was the perfect chance to do that! Every summer they host a Music Academy Camp for aspiring young musicians and this concert was the culmination of that - it.was.awesome.!! So fun also to be back in one of dad's favorite places in the world! We didn't get home until 2 AM but it was so worth a little bit of tiredness the next day! We are counting it as one of our favorite memories!

Day 205 - Project 365/2013
I cannot wipe the grin off my face when I'm hanging out with the Camp Glad kids:-) I was able to go up to Covenant and take pics of their time at the pool this afternoon! Just love being with them!

Day 204 - Project 365/2013
Everything is so green and lush this summer compared to last year! D.A. was working with Eddie so I walked the Bridge alone, well, with the Nikon, and then went to see my Libby friend at GiGi's! I still think this is one of the prettiest areas I have ever seen - I never grow tired of it!

Day 203 - Project 365/2013
Oh.my.heart. Could they be any cuter?! Love love love hanging out with the Camp Glad kids!
I crashed Melissa's reading class where they were making dolphins and octopus (octopi?) out of bananas. Also was there for breakfast, worship and recess - how I wish I could help on a full time basis - some days retirement can't get here soon enough!

Day 201 - Project 365/2013
I wonder how many times I've used mom's recipe for Fruit Crisp in my married life?! Just un-often enough to remember it by heart I guess judging by all the flour, brown sugar, buttery fingerprints smudged all over the page:-) It works with any fruit and today I used some of my precious, delicious blackberries for a dessert for tomorrow night's party for Little Corey. It looks and smells so yum!
Day 200 - Project 365/2013
Stopped by Coolidge to say goodbye to the new friends we made this week from Maryland and Alton Park:-) Also brought them printed pics from Bible Club this past week. I'll be forever indebted to my sweet friend Rita who asked me a couple of months ago....."What do you do with all those pictures you take?"......Her question has really stuck with me and I've rediscovered the joy that a picture in hand can bring to people. It struck me again while I was leaving Coolidge how thankful I am to live here....to have the opportunity to work with teams like this, go to a church like New City every Sunday, have relationships with folks from the various neighborhoods we minister to......grateful heart!
