Day 311 - Project 365/2013

After a long day of staring at a computer screen I really needed some fresh air and beauty!  We had just enough sunlight to drive out to the Battlefield for a little while and a few pics!  How I wish we had thought to go there last weekend when the colors were so amazing!  Putting it on the Fall calendar for next year!

Day 310 - Project 365/2013

Already the peak of Fall beauty is over and there are leaves on the ground and spaces between the branches.  I am always sad to see it go.

Day 309 - Project 365/2013

Ahhhhhh.....after a crazy week of working long days I sure was looking forward to a quiet Tuesday night with my book club girlfriends.  We always read our current book out loud - I am a FIRM believer in the value of reading out loud - perhaps a throwback to sweet memories of my mama reading to me in her beautiful voice.  We light the candles, pull out the nesting tables for tea and treats, and together we remind each other that we are no longer called Much-Afraid but given brand new names from the Shepherd.........this night is always an oasis of calm, peace and love.

Day 308 - Project 365/2013

The long anticipated day arrived and started out with a sweet note and a cup of coffee from Rembrandts from two of the YL leaders!  Such an encouragement! I stayed at the office finalizing the guest list and working on the table chart and headed home to change before going to the banquet. It was a GREAT night and we have gotten so much positive feedback from guests!  Thank you , Lord!!

Day 307 - Project 365/2013

Even in this busy weekend the Lord gave me pockets of time to enjoy this peak season of color in beautiful Chattanooga!  We went downtown early before church to watch the crew boats in the Regatta and at night we went up to Sunset Rock with our friends, the Rethorns, to see the leaves and sunset.  It was so beautiful and amazing up there!  We had such a good time together and actually had someone to take our picture together:-)  Pizza at Mr. T's for old time's sake completed a very sweet evening!

Day 306 - Project 365/2013

Lately I am loving reflection pictures! They catch my eye!  We had so much fun meeting the other partners of our dear Island Club condo at the annual business meeting - the first one we were able to attend - they're all fun, sweet folks!  After the meeting we went to one of the partner's homes and this is the beautiful sight that met my eyes when we walked into their backyard!  The water was so still, the sky so blue, I could have stayed there forever looking at it and trying to capture the sight for later when I might need a still water thought. 

Day 305 - Project 365/2013

I am so glad this event is almost upon us because getting ready for it is wearing me out......and right on top of this is organizing 250 people for Fall Weekend and organizing the sale of 1,500 wreaths......TGIF but I'm going to have to go in to the office this weekend or I simply won't be ready for Monday's big celebration....grateful but tired heart and hands tonight.
