The Psalm for this week in the Blue Book is the 13th and the 6th verse reminds me to sing to the Lord for He has been good to me!!
And those words keep reminding me of my old habit of writing down theophanies at the end of each day - something I haven't done in a very long time but should do all the time! Because they're there every day....

~fresh morning air
~daffodils and crocuses who can't read a thermometer or a calendar
The wonderful word "theophanies" came to me through Macrina Wiederkehr, one of my favorite writers. When I bumped into the word it stuck to me like Velcro. This is a passage from her book "A Tree Full of Angels" where I first discovered it.
"Spiritual life seems to be about seeing and harvesting. Seeing the holy in the ordinary! Harvesting angels out of what appears to be the crumbs of daily existence! Spending your days in the fast lane of life impairs the quality of your seeing. If you want to see to the depths, you will need to slow down. You live in a world of theophanies (places where God shows up). Holiness comes wrapped in the ordinary."
